Max Factor Whipped Creme Foundation

For what feels like the first time in my life, I tried a sample from a magazine that wasn't bright orang - and it led to me actually purchasing the product. Just saying. Namely, it was the Whipped Creme Foundation from Max Factor admittedly I did opt for a lighter shade - the lightest - this one, light ivory, is the absolute perfect match for my skin.

The foundation itself feels so light once you've blended it out, if you're using your fingers then the product will feel a little heavier when you're applying. It's literally a cream in consistency, similar to that of my moisturiser - the one, that is Johnson's 24hr Day Cream -  but much more matte. The amazing thing in, it isn't drying in the slightest. I am a massive dry skin girl right now, especially when it comes to blemishes. This dries to a matte finish but doesn't feel dry or look completely dull matte. I've been wearing my Bourjois Happy Light Luminous Primer* underneath to add a teensy bit of glow.

It covers scarring well, and under eye circles - minimal darkness - really well. Actual blemishes or harsh redness I do top up with concealer and powder, but for most it probably isn't a necessary extra step. I definitely favour using my fingers to apply this one, it just melts into the skin. Staying power isn't out of this world, I'd say it lasts a good 6-7 hours before I need to touch up any redness that's started to show through.

I was pretty much sold at the seamless skin colour match, but basically I love this foundation. It's £9.99 and I highly recommend the Max Factor Colour Effects nail varnishes while you're there...

  1. It seems dark for a the lightest shade! I love how the texture looks though and the fact that it's not drying must be perfect! xxxx

  3. Sounds amazing!!! But I have a feeling I'll crack up every time I apply it because "I'm putting whipped cream on ma face".
