I have finally got to an ultimate skin care routine. My skin can't thank me enough and the products are all easy access and a pleasure to use. A little back story, I've only just realised my skin is combination. I generally always have a few blemishes on my skin, but the majority settle hormonally on my chin and my ultimate bad habit means I have more than a few red marks from past breakouts.
First and foremost is make up removal, any good quality make up remover should work. The Garnier Simply Essentials works wonderfully, makes easy work of face make up and waterproof mascara - even They're Real which is a notorious nightmare to get off. The more cotton pads you use, the better. Avoid spreading the product around your face and just get it off the skin.
This is swiftly followed by a proper face wash. No cleansing wipe - unless absolutely needed (read: really can't be bothered). The Neutrogena Blackhead Eliminating Scrub is my favourite at the moment. It seemed to clear my skin up immediately when I began using it. It's a mild enough scrub to use twice daily, but strong enough to leave skin smooth and super clean.
Toning is an optional next step, I have to admit that I don't always do it and don't miss it from my routine once the product ends. But, the Benefit Moisture Prep smells amazing and reduces any tightness from the skin. There aren't any noteworthy skin improvements yet but it's a pleasure to use.
Next up are my favourite products, the La Roche Posay serums. I have yet to try anything from this brand that I don't like and I'd really like to try some more products. The Effaclar Duo is a beauty must at the moment. I apply this to any active or impending breakouts to keep them at bay or help clear them up. I expected wonders and I got them. The Effaclar K is an old favourite and is meant to prevent future breakouts. I personally use this on any past scarring and redness which visibly reduces the marks with regular use.
Finally, an injection of moisture. As I shared in my January Favourites, the Fade Out moisturiser is a newbie to my routine but I am loving it. As insinuated through the name, it's designed to fade dark spots and skin discolouration. I have just finished my fourth week of use - the recommended initial usage - and it has given amazing results. My chin is my problem area and this product has made make up free days a pretty regular occurrence and it's has brought a lot more radiance to my skin.
These are strictly the only products I've been using for the last few months now and my skin has repaid me for the consistency. There is a slight side note, since just after Christmas I have seriously upped my water intake. On a good day, I get through two litres a day, but for the most part at least three sports bottles worth. The results in my skin are pretty obvious so I can't thank the products alone...
Just a whole load of my life trying various products and I have finally found a flawless routine! I obviously still get the odd breakout, but it's nothing that this routine won't tone down a little.
What are your favourite skincare products?

I love that you've mixed a range of high and lower price point products. I highly recommend Nivea's Daily Essentials Refreshing Toner for Normal/Combination Skin; it has a really soothing scent and I've noticed a massive difference at a great price.
