Soap & Glory Lid Stuff - What's Nude
Maybe one of my most used palettes in my modest collection. It might be on the basics side of things, but that just makes it a whole lot more wearable. The Soap & Glory Lid Stuff quads were news to me, but this is actually a Christmas present from 2011 and it's only just getting some good lovin'.
This is the What's Nude quad. Complete with a basic white (Vanilla), dusky rose (Pink T), basic brown (Mudhoney) and a gorgeous purple toned brown shimmer (Aubersheen).
Vanilla being the perfect highlight, especially under the brow. The Mudhoney shade doubles as a brow colour as well as an eye shadow. I favour it in the outer corners, but it works well all over the lid - especially if you're going for a Cara Delevigne vibe. Aubersheen is beautiful, used as a liner, an all over shadow or in the crease. I've fallen in love. And a bit obsessed with using it wherever I can.
Each of the colours are pretty well pigmented, especially Mudhoney. They all apply really smoothly onto the skin and blend even better. It's probably a good option for beginners as you can't really go wrong no matter where you place the colours, or for those want to make an effort on those can't really be bothered to think days. I'm pretty tempted to get the Smokey Dokey quad to perfect my grey smokey eye, in the mean time I'll be giving this one a bit more attention.
This, along with two other shade selections are available at Boots, £10 for the awesome foursome. I've yet to try much of the Soap & Glory make up, but this puts the collection in a good light.

I've not seen this palette before (I must have been living under a rock!) I like the Mudhoney shade. Can't go wrong with a basic brown!

I bought this palette on a whim and hardly used it... tried to flog it in a blog sale and no one wanted it. So I then made the effort to start using it in my routine.
ReplyDeleteI've found that Mudhoney is the perfect shade for my eyebrows, as the shade I used in the HD Brows 'foxy' palette ran out this has been a great alternative/dupe! I use it everyday now! Therefore its a great palette for me when i travel as i have eyeshadow shades and a eyebrow colour! :-)
