December Empties

Coming back from Uni for Christmas had me welcoming a whole host of half empty (read: half full. Optimist here) products. There is something mildly thrilling about finishing off a product to me, whether it be the fact you've finally finished that never ending hand cream or making room to try something new.

The Body Shop Hemp Hand Protector is the very best of any hand cream I've ever used. I grew to love the smell although I'm not sure it's for everyone. A seriously heavy duty hand cream that sinks in quickly. I've been working through this tube for seemingly years but I wouldn't hesitate to repurchase it.

The No 7 Eye Make-up Remover was recommended by countless people. I only use a separate eye make up remover product on particularly heavy make up days. This stuff literally dissolves every morsel of product off your eyelids and makes a quick job of stubborn liner and mascara.

The Tresemme 24 Hour Body range is one of the best out there for thin hair in my opinion. The mousse is particularly amazing. The Finishing Spray was just another hairspray, I have no loyalty to hair spray. I would recommend this for volumising styles though.

Again, no real loyalty to body moisturisers but the Garnier 7 days range is pretty special. It leaves you intensively moisturised and it would be my pick of the high street moisturisers. It sinks in really fast and comes in various styles to suit different skin types, leaving a really nourished feeling to your skin.

I bought the Neutrogena Pink Grapefruit Moisturiser purely for the scent. It's pretty strong for a daily  moisturiser which I grew to realise quite soon. It's a good daily option but to me doesn't provide any real benefits. I'll be sticking with my holy grail Johnson's daily moisturiser for now.

There is always a lip balm present on my bedside table to treat my lips while I sleep. The Balance Me Rose Otto Lip balm was a freebie in a magazine a while back. It smells delicious and gives a subtle gloss to the lips - probably not the most appropriate for bed wear. It gives a nice level of moisture to the lips, but definitely more of a re apply day product than a night treatment.

I'm still working my way through long forgotten samples and rediscovered products before I head back to Uni. I've somehow managed to accumulate a hefty amount of hair mousse and serums, of which I barely use either... Cue way too much product been applied in a bid to get to the bottom of the can.

  2. Love the look of the eye makeup remover and hand cream! I find makeup wipes aren't good enough for eye makeup removal if I wear a lot and I don't like using my cleanser to do it all :(

  3. I have thin hair too! I quite like the Tresemme hairspray as its light and doesn't make my hairy all crispy & hard like some hairsprays do... although Elnett is still my favourite!

  7. I agree with you about the nuetrogena grapefruit. It's nothing special. But I would love to try the Garner moisturizer though. Thanks for the pick review. :)

  8. I love when you finish a body lotion and can finally open the one you bought a few weeks ago (always too keen!). I've never managed to finish a tub of vaseline though.. always lose them. I've just started a new blog. Would love it if you took a look. xx
