The imPRESS Press on Nails* were a concept I wasn't highly excited for, in my head I couldn't see them working and the whole idea reminded me of the kind of thing I'd play with when I was little.
I received the 'Rock It' version from the Leeds Blogger Meetup. The more natural looking french manicure set, compared to the more pink toned 'Pick Me'. These have a subtle ombred nude, polished with a white tip. The whole concept is easy - size each of the nails up, choosing from the 24 strong set, peel off the sticky tab and press firmly onto the nail.
The size range is pretty good and I found a fit for each nail. The simple process comes a little bit trickier once the nails are on, so if you have a willing side kick then having them apply the nails may be a little easier.
The finished look is what I would expect, they looked good, if a little plastic.
Overall the majority lasted pretty well. My index finger and little finger struggled to keep hold of them for longer than a few minutes for some reason. The rest lasted a couple of days with a few needing replacing with more 'strenuous' finger movements.
Prices begin at £7.99 for the basic coloured designs, which for a one time - maybe two at a push - application is a little steep for what you're getting. It's unlikely I'll be repurchasing these, although a few of the designs are pretty cool looking!
I think these would be good for a night out or an event, but if you're looking for a longer term or something to rival plain old nail varnish then you should be reaching for the glue and leaving the sticky pads in the cute nail varnish bottle design.
Have you tried these? What did you think?

I actually got on really well with these, I have the deep plum ones called Rated R on now and I have had the neon orange ones called Totally Busted (i think) before and although there were a few duds in the pack which fell off in a few minutes, I stuck on new ones and they lasted me a week at least! Perfect for me because I have really short nails. I managed to get two uses out of the orange pack which is a bonus!
ReplyDeleteI thought these might all just fall off one you touched something but they sound allright :)

Great review, I've been wondering whether to get some impress nails for a while now as i didn't think they'd be worth it. I don't think i'll bother unless they fall dramatically in price! x x
ReplyDeleteWow it looks very natural. I've never tried any of these things but now I'm very interested!

I actually have a blog post on these and I wanted to see how other people reacted to them! I loved mine, the only beef I had was the tips had some unfiled tabs and the adhesive was a bit thick, otherwise, these would have lasted a solid week on me. I found that using acetone on your nails BEFORE applying made them last. I washed my hair, did dishes, went to the pool, etc and they were stuck! I'm definitely buying the colors next. They have some out for Halloween that are just adorable!
ReplyDeleteperfect perfect perfect and so natural. i cant fault them and they look so pretry on you
