Despite discovering some amazing foundations recently - Benefit Hello Flawless, YSL Touche Eclat and Make Up Forever HD to name a few - for the most part I have given up foundation and replaced it with the tinted moisturisers and BB creams of the world.
If there are any blemishes or pick me ups needed then I rely on the Lush Colour Supplement, a great concealer or its own tinted moisturiser if you mix a little in with a regular moisturiser.
This is where the Soap & Glory Feel Good Factor steps in. The perfect light moisturiser with a high SPF in it. I layer this under foundation or my Garnier Miracle Skin Perfector* for some SPF coverage where needed - I always make sure I have an SPF on my face!
And the reason I've stepped into the lighter way of thinking, is this. The Sigma F80 Flat Top Synthetic Kabuki (I found Sigma in the UK here). I apply the product directly onto the brush, stipple it around my face then buff it in. A lot.
The dense bristles make the blending really easy and the more the products are buffed in, the better they look. The Garnier Miracle Skin Perfector* definitely wins in coverage with this method, but when I'm having a good skin day or want more of a dewy look then I'll choose Benefit's You Rebel Lite.
As well as this being a lot lighter on the skin, it means on the sporadic occasions I use foundation, my skin looks a lot healthier and it makes foundation look that bit better.
I've actually had all these products for a really long time, but for some reason have always relied on foundation. Having a quick play around with different methods and shopping my collection means I've found my new favourite combination!
Are you a foundation or tinted moisturiser kind of person?

I had a tester of the Garnier BB cream which I absolutely loved, but everyone says such bad things about it that i'm reluctant to purchase it, but it is great that it has SPF in it!

I love the Garnier BB cream for Oily/Combination skin it's my favourite. I'm definitely more of a foundation girl but I've been using this more and more lately xxx
ReplyDeleteLove the Garnier cream too!
ReplyDeleteI tried a lot of tinted moistrizers but they weren't right for my skin. Too sheer for me! I'm using covergirl foundation for now!
