I originally picked up Innocent thinking it was a perfect dupe for MAC's Creme Cup and while it's close, it doesn't quite meet that mark. Instead I've discovered one of my new favourite lippies. Which is saying something.
Just as I expected from what I've heard, the pigmentation is amazing. You get exactly what's in the tube with one sweep across the lips and can be built up with more layers, or sheered down by dabbing it on.
It's a creamy consistency and doesn't dry out the lips at all, which is usually what I struggle with. I've found that it lasts really well, but fades gradually instead of fading to a line at the edge of the lips.
The finish is verging on matte, but because of the creamy consistency, it instead leaves a subtle gloss.
So like I said, I originally clocked it because of its likeness to Creme Cup, which until now, was the only lipstick I'd ever repurchased. From what's left of my beloved MAC lipstick, let's compare:
Top: MAC Creme Cup
Bottom: Topshop Innocent
Glossiness aside (it is a creme sheen after all), Creme Cup is definitely a more pastel pink, it has a much warmer undertone as oppose to Innocent which is quite blue toned.
Although I will still class Creme Cup as a favourite, it has a close second in Innocent, which retails for £8 in comparison to MAC's now £13.50!
I definitely want to try more Topshop lip colours, starting with Sisters of the Moon Lip Tint. The whole new collection is pretty stunning to be honest.

Really wanted to try their face base but it was limited edition wasn't it?
DeleteIt might have been, I'm not sure- It's in the normal packaging and still available here in Denmark I think. Hmm. It's definitely worth a go!

Wish I lived in the UK so I could try Topshop makeup. That's a gorgeous colour, very flattering on you. I tend to be attracted to blue-based pink lipsticks, but my skin is quite yellow, so it never works out unfortunately :( Creme Cup is so pretty, need to try it out soon.
