Here's why; I don't usually spend a lot on hair care. I change my shampoo/conditioner with every new set I buy but nine times out of ten i'll just get it from the supermarket.
Goldwell is a salon brand - which my new salon coincidentally uses - which was previously unheard of to me. But, in February of this year, I subscribed to Glamour magazine (for just £1 an issue!) and this set was my free gift... So i didn't actually pay.
After a bit of research, I found out it's actually a US brand that is pretty exclusive to the US. But, if you're lucky enough to have a salon that stocks it near you, you can obviously buy it from there. But on the internet, its available from a few sites (just google it if you're interested.).
My set came from the Dual Senses, Rich Repair collection and Oh. My. Gosh.
It is the best haircare I have ever used - and i'm not just saying that because it's salon brand, I've had other salon products that haven't compared.
The shampoo;
Image taken from golwellusa.comIn my experience, shampoos are just there to clean your hair, and the conditioner is their to nourish and.. well, condition. This product works on it's own. It leaves my hair soft, smooth and shiny (the only s's you need!) from the first use.
The conditioner;

The bottle states that it will leave your hair soft and nourished after leaving it in for 60 seconds, but I just used this as normal, distributing through my hair, leaving for about 30 seconds maybe then washing out. This worked fine to get it to an amazing softness and shine. It's almost unbelievable.
The leave in conditioner;
This says the same on the tub, to leave it in for 60 seconds to experience a deep nourishing treatment. Again, you don't need to leave it in for too long to get the same result, but I like to leave this in longer to further nourish my hair. The downside to this product is, a little really does go a long way, if left in too long or too much is used, you'll definitely experience greasy hair where the product was applied.
So, it retails from £7.25 for the shampoo (250ml), £7.35 for the conditoner (200ml) and £8.95 for the leave in (200ml). This was sourced from here. I'm sure if you shop around the internet, you could probably find it cheaper somewhere. But this is where I found a wider range of their products, which I will definitely buy - so expect a second review/haul in the recent ish future. Plus, this site offers just £2.95 for UK postage - which for the weight of these products, I think is a really good price.
The smell; I can't really describe it... I can't pick up any particular scents or anything, but i really love it. Sorry I couldn't be of more help!

All in all, this would definitely receive a strong recommendation from me. I've just finished both of my bottles (hence not providing my own pics for those) and I am definitely going to repurchase, but will branch out into some of the other ranges.
My hair is quite fine and naturally straight (with a few waves here and there) so the grease factor might not happen for those with more hair to hold the product. But, the real winner for me, is that it means I don't need to straighten my hair after using these products because of the amount of frizz it gets rid of, which is basically the only reason I straighten, to give a sleek finish.
If you try - or have tried - any of their products, let me know what you think :)
im from the US and i have never even heard of this stuff. i might need to try it.
